Short description
The construction of this boat is extremely refined. The "i" stands for injection moulding, the process in which the resin is injected under pressure through molds including balsa cores. Occur so sandwich structures lighter, stronger and more precise; manufacturing processes are more environmentally friendly. The hull itself is handmade in glass fiber using a grid inside of fibreglass on which are glued and laminated vinylester resin layers in order to confer high resistance and rigidity. Jeanneau calls this process "3rd Generation Hull Structure",
All this would be frustrated if the project itself had not reached a certain level of performance and aesthetics, but Naval study awarded to Marc Lombard 36i look sleek and modern and a great sail balance. In profile, the boat is clearly a member of the extended family Sun Odyssey: with its sail plan split, water lines of great purity, low deckhouse, is a classic example of a cruiser-racer contemporary setting.
Internal notes
Below deck the 36i is very nicely decorated. There are two cabins, one fore and one aft, of large beds. The Central Hall is a little unusual in that the wraparound couch and table are straight, single sofa left (both would make excellent sea anchors). Jeanneau has incorporated a feature rather ingenious in the door-sofa: a table of correspondence flowing moving forward and above the couch when necessary, leaving space for the comfortable seating of the Navigator, as it moves to the rear allowing the couch only when the banquet takes the place of the navigation. The L-shaped kitchen is at the base of the ladder, to starboard, and the toilet with box on the left. In line with the General level of the boat, both are well done.

Further information
Drive this Jeanneau is a joy. The position of helmsman is perfect, and so is the rudder, which conveys feelings of great control and precision.
Windward traveling at about 6.4 knots with 11 knots of wind, (GPS measurement). With 13-14 knots, the boat reaches 6.8 knots. Abeam is up to 6 knots with just 9.5 knots of wind. Polar chart (performance analysis of the Designer) shows that these numbers are accurate. The polar diagram was the annex along with available images.
